l'aggressione subita dal suo cane
«Sangue, paura e dolore»

PESARO - L’elenco delle ferite riportate impressiona: braccio destro, natica, gamba più pollice sinistro e orecchio destro. Asaf Avidan, la rockstar che da qualche anno vive in una splendida villa sul San Bartolo, la scorsa settimana è stato aggredito dal suo nuovo cane lupo. Dopo due giorni di ospedale a Pesaro e altri di degenza a casa, ha voluto rendere pubblico l’accaduto e il suo stato di salute. Un modo per tranquillizzare i suoi tanti fan e raccontare nella maniera più corretta, in prima persona, l’episodio che lo ha profondamente segnato. Sia fisicamente che nel cuore. «Ho ricevuto un sacco di messaggi preoccupati - ha scritto -. Ad Aeolus, il mio cane lupo adottato due settimane fa, non è piaciuto che lo fermassi mentre cercava di mangiare la mia gatta Athena... Sono intervenuto con cautela e per un secondo le cose sembravano andar bene, poi lui ha cambiato idea e ha attaccato».

Hey everyone, I didn’t think I’d be sharing this, but since some fans saw a local newspapers article, and have posted it on Facebook, I’ve been getting worried messages in my inbox... so I think it’s better I explained...Sooo... apparently Aeolus , my recently adopted wolfdog, didn’t like that I stopped him from eating my cat Athena. I intervened cautiously and for a second things seemed to be fine - then he coldly turned around and attacked me. He got my right arm, my left thumb, my right ear, my ass and my leg... it was scary and bloody and heartbreaking and painful. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital, and spent a couple of days there. I’ve spent the last week recovering . My ear was stitched back to place , my broken thumb , and my arm are in casts, and I’m on high dosages of antibiotics to prevent infection, which is the worst fear according to the doctors. Thankfully there is no nerve damage in the arm, and the damage is muscles only. After the wounds will close I guess I’ll start physiotherapy and hopefully will regain all my movement in my fingers again. The thumb will be in a cast for a while but everyone thinks it’ll be ok too. My hearing has not been damaged, and except what felt like 5000 stitches and scars, I guess it will be ok too. As for Aeolus , he was taken by police to the city kennel, and will be returning to the rescue service I got him from - they found an expert wolfdog trainer that will help him rehabilitate. My heart is broken to more pieces than I knew existed. I loved this animal, and until that second, he was attentive, and sweet, and loving, and was becoming a part of the family. In the two weeks I had him I saw 4 dog trainers, and a couple of wolf experts, and we all were super impressed by how attached and cooperative he was. I’ve since asked experts for possible reasons for his behavior and gotten 10 different answers from 10 different people. So if you think you know why and you want to tell me -don’t! Baseless opinions are not what interests me now. For whatever reason , something made him feel he needed to attack me, and I’m desperately sad that he was brought to that. I hope we both heal quickly in all ways.

Le parole di Asaf Avidan, a tratti, sembrano quasi un testo di una canzone carica di dolore e amore: «È stato spaventoso e sanguinoso. Oltre che straziante e doloroso. Sono stato portato in ambulanza all’ospedale. Il mio orecchio è stato sistemato, il mio pollice e il braccio ingessati e ora sono sotto alti dosaggi antibiotici per prevenire infezioni. Grazie al cielo non c’è nessuno nervo lesionato e il danno è solo ai muscoli. Quando le ferite si richiuderanno inizierò fisioterapia: spero di riguadagnare tutti i movimenti delle dita. Il pollice sarà ingessato per un po’ ma tutti pensano che tornerà apposto. L’orecchio non è stato danneggiato nonostante i tanti punti di sutura». Eolo è stato preso dalla polizia e portato al canile di Pesaro e «con l’aiuto di un addestratore cercheranno di riabilitarlo. Io ho il cuore rotto in tanti pezzi, molti di più di quelli che pensavo di avere. Amavo Aeolus, fino a quel momento era premuroso e amorevole. Tutti gli addestratori erano impressionati dal suo comportamento cooperativo. Ho sentito 10 esperti ricevendo 10 risposte differenti sull’accaduto. Quindi - è il saluto - non fatemi avere le vostre opinioni. Io sono disperato e triste. Spero solo che per me e per lui arrivi una pronta guarigione».
